Revenue is the amount of money that your company actually receives during a specific period, including discounts and deductions. It should not be confused with Net Income of a company. For example, Company A posts a revenue of Rs. 1 crore, at the end of their fiscal year. And they post Rs. 25 Lakh in net income for the same period. We can see that company A’s net income is smaller than their total revenue since net income is the result of total revenue minus all of the company A’s expenses for the period. The example above shows how different income is from revenue when referring to a company's financials.
On your dashboard, your revenue will be displayed as a bar graph with two bars which will show you your overall revenue of the current and previous fiscal year.
